Recreational Teams

  Recreational Soccer Teams are Offered from U5 through U14

The recreational soccer season begins the first Saturday after Labor Day and runs until mid to late October.  We break for the winter and start up again in April and run through the first Saturday in June when we host our Annual Spring Classic Recreational Tournament. 

Micro Soccer - U5 (Age 4) Co-ed
This program is designed for the child who has not played on a team before. The rules of the game are introduced. Fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing and kicking are presented. Parent involvement is highly recommended since children at this age may need some encouragement and motivation. Teams are co-ed. Optional U5 training sessions are held one evening per week in addition to a practice and game session on Saturday mornings.  Registration is open to boys and girls.

Mini Soccer - U6 (Age 5) Co-ed
This program is designed for the child who has little team or no team playing experience. The rules of the game are introduced. Fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing and kicking are presented. Parent involvement is highly recommended since children at this age may need some encouragement and motivation. Teams are co-ed. Optional U6 training sessions are held one evening per week in addition to a practice and  game session on Saturday mornings.  Registration is open to boys and girls.

Minors - U7 (Age 6) Co-ed
This recreational program allows players the opportunity for fun, exercise and development of good sportsmanship. Fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing and kicking are presented and reinforced. Parent involvement is highly recommended. Teams are co-ed. Practices are held one evening a week and games are held on Saturday mornings.  Registration is open to boys and girls.

Juniors - U9 (Age 8) Boys and Girls
                 U10 (Age 9) Boys and Girls

This recreational program allows players the opportunity for fun, exercise and development of good sportsmanship. Fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing and kicking are reinforced. Parent involvement is highly recommended. Teams are gender specific. Practices are held one evening a week and games are played on Saturday mornings.  All home games are played at Monterey Park. Games may be played with other local soccer clubs on a rotational basis.  Registration is open to boys and girls.

U12 (Ages 10 & 11) Boys and Girls

This program allows players the opportunity for fun, exercise and development of good sportsmanship. Fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing and kicking are reinforced. Teams are gender specific. Practices are held two evenings a week and games are played on Saturdays. This age group plays in the Waukesha Area Recreational Soccer (WARS) League with half of the games being played at home and half in other western Waukesha County areas.  Registration is open to boys and girls.
An 8 v 8 format is played.  There are 7 players on the field and a goalkeeper.  Offside is called.  Game time is 2 – 30 minute halves.  Ball size #4 is used.   

U14 (Ages 12 & 13) Boys and Girls
This recreational program allows players the opportunity for fun, exercise and development of good sportsmanship. Fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing and kicking are reinforced. Teams are gender specific. Practices are held two evenings a week and games are played on Saturdays. This age group plays in the Waukesha Area Recreational Soccer (WARS) League with half of the games being played at home and half in other western Waukesha County areas.  Registration is open to boys and girls. 
An 11 v 11 format is played.  There are 10 players on the field and a goalkeeper.  Offside is called.  Game time is 2 – 35 minute halves.  Ball size #5 is used.
